SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER – DELTA PROTECTION COMMISSION / WEST SACRAMENTO

The reporting location for this position is West Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of the Executive Director.  

This position will perform a wide variety of program functions in areas such as planning, project development, and grants management. The position will conduct analytical studies, formulate procedures and policies, make recommendations directly to the Executive Director on a broad spectrum of program-related issues that impact the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, and represent the Commission as assigned. Frequent use of Microsoft Office Suite and project collaboration software (such as TEAMS and SharePoint).  

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Occassional travel is required.

Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.

Special Requirements

1. reviewing and analyzing planning documents, including general plans;
2. the Delta Stewardship Council and Delta Plan, State Water Resources Control Board, and the Central Valley Flood Protection Board;
3. the Delta’s 1,100 miles of levees
4. and project management.

Failure to include and complete the SOQ may result in disqualification for interview.

Candidates that believe they meet the Minimum qualifications based on a pattern of education from the classification description (specifications) must provide a copy of your degree/transcripts and/or license along with your application (STD. 678) to be considered for this position. If selected for the position transcripts will be required prior to appointment.
