Position: PeopleSoft Financials Business AnalystLocation: Albany, NYDuration: 12 MonthsRate: $60/hour Position SummaryThe Business Analyst will support the SFS Program by performing comprehensive business analysis tasks, including functional analysis, requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, and testing. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to enhance existing modules and support the deployment of new functionalities within the PeopleSoft Financials suite. Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements.Fit/Gap Analysis: Assess current system capabilities against business requirements to identify gaps and propose solutions.Module Implementation & Support: Assist in the deployment of new modules and provide ongoing support for existing ones, ensuring alignment with business processes.Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to validate system changes and ensure they meet business requirements.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional designs, and test cases.Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide training to staff on system functionalities and support best practices. Required Experience Public Sector ERP Experience: Minimum 12 months working with ERP financial systems in a public sector environment.PeopleSoft Financials Expertise: At least 72 months of in-depth experience with one or more of the following PeopleSoft Financial modules:EProcurementPurchasingAccounts PayableTravel and ExpenseAccounts ReceivableBillingGeneral LedgerCommitment ControlProject CostingInventoryAsset ManagementeSettlementsBusiness Analysis: At least 48 months of experience performing business analysis, including requirements elicitation, fit/gap analysis, design, testing, and/or production support of financial systems.Financial Systems Knowledge: Experience in functional analysis of business problems, business requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, development of functional designs, testing, and production support.Module Deployment & Support: Experience evaluating new modules for deployment, applying patches, and implementing new software versions.Data Analysis & Reconciliation: Proficiency in data analysis and reconciliation tasks.Training: Ability to train staff on analysis and support skills. Preferred Qualifications Public Sector ERP Experience: Experience working with ERP financial systems in a public sector environment is highly desirable.PeopleSoft Financials Expertise: In-depth experience with PeopleSoft Financial modules is preferred.
