This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to our team as an IT Business Analyst – Data & Regulatory Reporting intern within State Street’s Global Technology Services organization. What You Will Do: **     **

In this role, you will perform the following day-to-day activities: **   **

  • Support reporting initiatives, assist in documentation, and gain exposure to global financial regulations and enterprise reporting tools. 

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing business requirements for regulatory reporting. 

  • Support the preparation and validation of financial reports under various regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, CFTC, MiFID, EMIR, HKMA, MAS, ASIC, Canada). 

  • Participate in data reconciliation and variance analysis. 

  • Help maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and data mapping documentation. 

  • Collaborate with Front to Back Office, Client Onboarding, Collateral Management and Technology teams to understand reporting workflows. 

  • Contribute to testing activities and process improvement initiatives with IT Automation solution.

  • Research regulatory changes and summarize potential impacts, and leveraging AI-powered tool like Microsoft Copilot 

  • Gain hands-on experience in trading data analysis, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should be:

  • Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related disciplines, with a strong interest in converting to a full-time role post-graduation.  

  • Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in financial services and regulatory compliance within a technology-driven organization.  

  • Effective communicators with strong analytical and organizational skills, able to collaborate in a global team-oriented environment.
