Inside sales position located in La Verne, CA, next to the Pomona Fairgrounds
KMC Chain is one of the largest chain manufacturing companies in the world. Our bicycle chains are well known, but did you know we also make engine timing, industrial, and agricultural chains? And MOTORCYCLE chains? And chainsaw chains?
We are looking for talented and assertive sales people to help grow our motorcycle and chainsaw chain segments through motorsports and power equipment dealer networks throughout the US. The position is based at KMC USA offices in La Verne, CA, and requires working from the office as well as visiting power sports and/or power equipment dealers in the Greater Los Angeles area.
This is a B2B sales position. While B2B sales experience is not strictly required, it is highly desired.
Desired Experience - B2B sales knowledge and proficiency to capture orders
- Motorcycle and/or Power Equipment industry experience
- Computer knowledge: word, excel, business management applications, or equivalent
Roles and Responsibilities - Conduct outbound calls to prospective dealers to introduce the brand and products while identifying potential sales opportunities.
- Make local in person customer visits on a rotating schedule.
- Qualify leads by using strategic questioning and active listening to understand client needs, challenges, and purchasing intentions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through personalized attention and exceptional customer service.
- Use CRM software to efficiently manage leads, track accounts, and update sales activities with accuracy.
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop and execute effective sales strategies and tactics.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure accurate order entry into the ordering system and coordinate with the warehouse and shipping departments to guarantee timely processing and delivery of each order.
- Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, event activations, and dealer workshops to enhance product knowledge and refine sales techniques.
Basic Qualifications - Proven experience in wholesale sales within the outdoor and/or cycling industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and influence decision-makers effectively.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive in prospecting and closing sales deals.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge in productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
