Job Title: HR Assistant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an HR Assistant to join our client to support the coordination of daily human resources operations across benefits, onboarding, data accuracy, and employee services. This role helps ensure smooth processes by maintaining organized records, assisting with HR systems and reporting, and providing helpful guidance to employees throughout their interactions with the HR office. The HR Assistant will also contribute to recruiting and engagement activities while delivering dependable administrative support to HR leadership. This is a contract opportunity based fully onsite in Princeton, NJ.
Compensation:
$25.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities of the HR Assistant:
• Support compensation and benefits activities by coordinating workers compensation cases, processing HR invoices, assisting with Open Enrollment planning, and ensuring accuracy in CDL and separation agreement reimbursements
• Contribute to talent processes by coordinating onboarding sessions, preparing compliant employee files, assisting with job descriptions and job postings, and organizing termination and exit steps
• Maintain accurate HRIS records by entering employee data, preparing compliance reports, completing research, and responding to employment verifications or legal information requests with support from HR partners
• Provide administrative and operational support by managing calendars for HR leadership, responding to daily inquiries through the HR inbox and phone lines, overseeing supply needs, coordinating facilities requests, and maintaining required labor law postings
• Assist with employee engagement by supporting training logistics, event coordination, and communication efforts for HR initiatives
Qualifications and Skills for the HR Assistant:
• Strong ability to balance multiple priorities, manage varied tasks, and anticipate the needs of a busy HR office
• Careful attention to accuracy when entering sensitive data into HR systems, processing invoices, or completing benefits and compliance records
• Skilled in organization, communication, and working with employees and internal teams in a confidential and professional manner
• Comfortable preparing documents, performing online research, and supporting reporting or compliance requirements across HR functions
