Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit eligible position that reports to the Custodial Supervisor, Assistant Director of Operations and or the Director of Operations. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The day time custodian has many duties across different departments. This could be helping with grounds, retrieving parts for fleet, maintenance or others etc.

The hours for this position are from 9:00am-5:30pm with a half an hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks. The duties are as follows and may be assigned to other duties as needed.

Basic job functions:

  • Collect and replace all outdoor trash
  • Clean pool bathrooms
  • Wash and dry custodial rags
  • Respond to any and all calls for custodial needs throughout the day
  • Check with Supervisors for additional work for other departments
  • Clean areas of the campus to during the day to assist night crew.
  • Help with event set ups including cleaning the dining hall.
  • Clean/power wash custodial golf carts as needed.
  • Leaf blow the carport that the golf carts park in.
  • Additional Custodial duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and experience required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effectively communicate with supervisor and staff.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Fluent English preferred
  • Custodial Experience Preferred

Physical requirements:

  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Bend or twist your body.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements.

The pay for this position is $19.40 an hour. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender, or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience.
